Why there is an increase in temperature of exhaust gas between cylinder exhaust branch and turbine inlet branch.

This anomaly is because
Major cause a part of the kinetic energy of gas coming from the cylinder is converted into additional heat energy as it adiabatically compresses the column of gas ahead of it.

Minor cause At the end of exhaust , what coming from the exhaust valve is a snug of cold air which has a cooling effect on the thermometer.
